About

I didn't find breathwork.
It found me mid-run.

Pneuma is the old word for breath and spirit both. I'm not precious about which one you're here for.

I'm Gav. By day I run digital strategy for an agency in London. By everything else, I'm a runner who got curious about what was happening underneath the training — why the same session could feel completely different depending on the state I walked in with.

That curiosity turned into SOMA Breath training, then into running sessions for my own club, then into Pneumawave. It's not a pivot away from the working life — it sits alongside it, the way the breath sits alongside everything else you're already doing.

I'm not selling stillness for its own sake. I'm selling a nervous system you can actually drop into rest on command — whether that's after a hard week, a hard race, or nothing in particular.

How this got built

RUNNING

Trail and hash running, years in

Long before any of this had a name, running was the practice — the place breath work started making itself obvious.

SOMA L1

SOMA Breath instructor training

Formal training in the method Pneumawave is built on, alongside an active SOMA practitioner community.

FIRST SESSIONS

Facilitating for the running club

The first sessions, run for people already in the room — a running club willing to try something after a long effort.

NOW

Pneumawave

Breathwork, guided with music — for anyone wanting better sleep, more calm, or to explore conscious breath, with a dedicated track for athletes and recovery. Sound healing and ice immersion are next.
